COORDINATION MEETING ON ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE MINISTRY OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS IN BALI: EFFORTS TO IMPROVE ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS AND PERFORMANCE
Bali, July 3, 2024 - The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) held a Coordination Meeting (Rakor) on Organization and Administration in Bali. This meeting aims to improve internal governance and enhance the operational effectiveness and performance of the organization. The event took place over four days, from July 2 to 5, 2024.
The meeting was attended by Heads of Administrative Sections and Heads of the Organizational and Administration Team from 34 Provincial Offices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Nurudin, the Head of the Bureau of Organization and Administration, stated that this meeting is a form of monitoring the implementation of Minister of Religious Affairs Instruction Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Follow-up on the Results of the 2024 National Working Meeting of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
According to Nurudin, there are four main mandates from the Minister’s Instruction:
1. Implementation of the Integrity Pact and Work Commitment
2. Acceleration of the 2024 Bureaucratic Reform Program of the Ministry of Religious Affairs
3. Strategy for Achieving Performance Targets in 2024
4. Implementation of the Seven Outlook Programs of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2024
Nurudin emphasized that this Coordination Meeting on the Organizational Function is a means of coordination between the Bureau of Organization as the managing organizing unit and work units to improve the performance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in the field of organization. The main goal is for work units to have a comprehensive understanding of their duties, functions, and organizational policies, understand the organizational policies that must be implemented and followed up, and serve as an evaluation material for the implementation of organizational programs and policies within the work units.
“An action plan will then be formulated for all organizational and administrative functions both at the Secretariat General level and at the work unit level,” Nurudin said in Bali, Tuesday (2/7/2024).
“These reports are not just administrative obligations but also serve as a means to ensure accountability and transparency in the management of these significant resources,” Iqbal stated.
Komang Sri Marheni, Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs for Bali Province, who was also present at the event, stated that limited budgets should not be seen as an obstacle to innovation. According to her, such innovations can have a positive impact on the community even with minimal budgets.
