Jakarta, (DBK)— I am proud of President Jokowi's statement that the 1945 Constitution, especially Article 29 paragraph 2 (two), should not be inferior to regional agreements. I am also proud of the Ministry of Religious Affairs' bold action to simplify church permits. This was conveyed by Rev. Jason Balumpapueng, chairman of the Communion of Churches-Indonesian Pentecostal Movement (PGPI), while leading the worship at the beginning of the working week at the Directorate General of Christian Community Guidance, Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag). The director general thanked the rectors and heads of state Christian religious universities (PTKKN) for working with them in implementing the strategic programs of the Ministry of Religion and the Directorate General of Christian Guidance.
In a cooperative relationship with fellow national-level church leaders and administrators, I feel close, dear, and grateful. According to the director general, the same applies to the deliberation board of Christian religious universities (BMPTKKI) and the leadership of other higher education institutions.
"I hope we walk in harmony, hand in hand with one another, for the good of the ummah, nation, and country,” he concluded.
