PRAYERS AND SUPPORT FROM JAYAPURA CITY FOR THE 3RD WORKING MEETING OF GKI SYNOD IN TANAH PAPUA

Jayapura – The Acting Mayor of Jayapura, L. Christian Sohilait, S.T., M.Si., extended full support and best prayers for the successful organization of the 3rd Working Meeting (Raker) of the GKI Synod in Tanah Papua. This significant event is scheduled to take place from January 21 to 24, 2025, at the GKI Klasis Ransiki Congregation, South Manokwari, West Papua Province.

With the theme "The Love of Christ Drives Church Independence to Achieve Peace and Prosperity", based on 2 Corinthians 5 and Psalm 72:2-3, this Raker serves as a vital milestone in strengthening the church’s commitment to fostering independence and harmony in the Papuan community.

“On behalf of the Government of Jayapura City and all its residents, we convey our warm regards and best prayers for the success of the 3rd GKI Synod Working Meeting in Tanah Papua, taking place in South Manokwari,” said Christian Sohilait on Monday (20/1/2025).

He also added Jayapura City’s distinctive greeting, "Hen Tecahi Yo Onomi Tmar Ni Hanased", which reflects the spirit of togetherness and harmony in diversity.

This Raker is expected to be a significant moment for fostering peace, enhancing community welfare, and strengthening the church’s role as a pioneer of independence. The Jayapura City Government holds high hopes that the outcomes of this event will bring lasting positive impacts to the lives of the people in Tanah Papua.
