Jakarta (DBK) — The Director General of Christian Community Guidance (Bimas Kristen), Jeane Marie Tulung, attended the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the 2025 Program and Budget Plan with Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). The discussion was held at Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, and was attended by several members of Commission VIII, relevant ministers, and echelon I officials from various ministries.

In addition, several other government institutions such as the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPA), the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), and the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) also participated in the event.

On behalf of the Minister of Religious Affairs and the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, who were unable to attend due to state duties, Muhammad Ali Ramdhani, Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag), delivered a speech. In his remarks, Ali conveyed an important message from the Minister, emphasizing the significance of good intentions in human interactions, including in accepting criticism.

"The message he always gives us is simple: in every interaction with others, good intentions must be the foundation. Criticism, even when it conflicts with our desires, should be seen as a vitamin that energizes us to do better," said Ali.

He also highlighted the improved performance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in recent years, thanks to collaboration with the DPR RI. Ali noted that public satisfaction with Hajj services and interfaith harmony continues to improve, along with significant progress in the digitalization of public services at the Ministry.

Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI, Ashabul Kahfi, expressed his appreciation for the strong cooperation between the members of Commission VIII and their ministry partners in developing programs and budgets. Kahfi hopes this collaboration will continue to positively impact society.

The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs from various ministries and agencies to the leaders of Commission VIII DPR RI as a token of appreciation for their solid partnership.
