THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY GUIDANCE (DITJEN BIMAS) HOLDS ROUTINE WORSHIP FOR ASN AT THE START OF THE WORK WEEK IN JAKARTA (DBK)

The Directorate General of Christian Community Guidance (Ditjen Bimas) Christian held routine worship at the start of the workweek for its civil servants (ASN) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) RI Building, 10th floor, MH Thamrin, on Monday, May 27, 2024. Ps. Steven Hutabarat from Gereja Kasih Anugerah—City Blessing Depok led the worship with a sermon titled “Siding with Truth,” based on Isaiah 5:20–24. In his sermon, Ps. Steven Hutabarat emphasised the importance of choosing to live in truth rather than in evil. He stated that the principles of truth and evil cannot be compromised, so each person must make their own decision. Ps. Steven urged all ASN members to pursue truth in their daily lives, both at work and at home. “On principle, evil and truth cannot be compromised; we are given the choice to live in truth or evil. Therefore, we must choose which side we are on. Do you choose acts of evil or truth? As civil servants, we are trained to be disciplined,” stated Ps. Steven. Furthermore, he explained that the difference between the wise, intelligent, and foolish can be seen in how they choose truth: “The wise and intelligent will choose truth, while the foolish tend to choose otherwise.” He added, “In truth, God will defend, protect, and watch over us.” After concluding his sermon, he outlined three important points about siding with the truth: 1. Stand and side with the truth (John 19:11). 2. Courage and firmness are needed to side with the truth (Matthew 5:37). 3. At the end of times, the sheep and goats will be separated (Matthew 25:32–33). All ASN members of Ditjen Bimas Kristen are expected to draw inspiration and motivation from this worship activity to carry out their duties and responsibilities with integrity and the courage to always side with the truth.
