BKP CONDUCTS FREE COMPUTER TRAINING IN KEBAR VALLEY

Kebar, Wednesday, September 4, 2024 — The Free Computer Training Team from Bengkel Kerja Papua (BKP) has arrived in Kebar Valley, ready to start a series of training activities for the local community. Previously, the BKP team completed similar activities on Roon Island, specifically at the GKI Isna Jedi Yende congregation, and now they are continuing their service mission in the Kebar area, under the GKI Kebar Classis, Manokwari.

The journey to Kebar was not easy, but it was full of blessings. The BKP team traveled aboard the Sabuk 98 ship, captained by Captain Krei, a native Papuan. Captain Krei and his wife, Mama Krei, generously offered their assistance to support the BKP team in their mission to provide free computer training, even extending their service to the southern regions of Papua, such as Merauke. The meeting with Captain Krei is seen as part of God's extraordinary plan to facilitate this service.

Upon arriving at the Manokwari Port on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, the BKP team was greeted by the Youth Leader of the GKI Eklesia Manekar congregation, under the GKI Kebar Classis, who will host the training in Kebar Valley. The BKP team then continued their long journey to Kebar, bringing high hopes of enhancing the technological skills of the local community.

This Free Computer Training in Kebar carries even more significance as it coincides with another major event, the Convention of Classis Ministers for Region 6 GKI in Tanah Papua, which will take place from September 9 to 11, 2024. GKI Kebar Classis will host this event, attended by church leaders from various regions of Papua.

The free computer training, which will be conducted by the BKP team at the GKI Eklesia Manekar congregation, is scheduled to run from September 8 to 20, 2024. This training is expected to provide significant benefits to the local community, particularly in improving their skills in information technology, which is increasingly essential in today’s digital age.

Congratulations and success to GKI Kebar Classis for their role as hosts of the Convention of Classis Ministers for Region 6 GKI in Tanah Papua and for the successful implementation of the Free Computer Training at the GKI Eklesia Manekar congregation. This activity marks an important step in building a more empowered and tech-savvy community.
