The visit of the team of the Directorate General of Christian Guidance and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Papua Province to the "religious moderation village" in Entrop Village, Jayapura City

In an effort to increase the effectiveness and success of the 10.10 programme, the Directorate General of Christian Community Guidance (Ditjen Bimas Kristen) team, together with the ranks of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Papua Province and the state Protestant Christian College (STAKPN) Sentani, visited the religious moderation village located in Entrop Village, Jayapura City, as part of STAKPN Sentani's guidance. The arrival of the group was warmly welcomed by the village chief and local officials. The team of the Directorate General of Christian Guidance then continued their visit by conducting a dialogue together, discussing the potential development of religious moderation villages in Entrop Village. This religious moderation village is expected to implement programmes based on four key indicators, which are an integral part of the concept of religious moderation itself. The four indicators include national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and respect for tradition. "This activity is not only about creating a society that lives in harmony and tolerance but also includes attention to the welfare of the community," said Proverbs, one of the team members of the Directorate General of Christian Guidance. Furthermore, the head of the Implementing Unit, Achmad Syahid, added that the religious moderation village must be able to combine these four indicators into programmes that have a positive impact on others. "Community welfare is an important aspect that must be considered in the implementation of this religious moderation village," he said. The visiting team hopes that through cooperation between the government, religious institutions, and local communities, the religious moderation village in Entrop village can be a good example of realising tolerance, peace, and prosperity for all its citizens. By continuing to support and monitor the development of this programmeme, it is expected that the overall goals of the 10.10 programmeme will be achieved.
