MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF THE PAPUA MINISTRY OF RELIGION ON PAPUAN STUDENTS AT IAKN TORAJA

 Head of Regional Office (Kakanwil) Ministry of Religious Affairs of Papua Province, Rev. Klemens Taran, and his entourage conducted monitoring and evaluation with students who received the kita Cinta Papua (KCP) scholarship, or Papua Bangga, who were studying at the Toraja State Institute of Christian Religion (Iakn) on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
 This activity was held in the hall of the Iakn Toraja Post-Graduate Building, attended by dozens of Papuan students, deans, lecturers, and Iakn Toraja dormitory managers.
 In his speech, Kakanwil Kemenag, Papua province, Rev. Klemens Taran, explained that this activity is part of an effort to see and directly review the condition of Papuan students who are studying outside Papua, including at Iakn Toraja.
 Kakanwil also gave a message to KCP and Papua students to be proud to maintain the good name of Papua during their studies outside Papua. He stressed the importance of studies as the key to changing the future of families, tribes, and Papua as a whole.
Vice Rector I of Iakn Toraja, Dr. Ismail Banne Ringgi’, M.Th., also gave a speech in this activity. He expressed his hope that monitoring and evaluation activities can be carried out regularly, even through the Zoom platform if needed, so that the Ministry of Religion can continue to get the latest information about the condition of Papuan students at IAKN Toraja.
The evaluation was followed by discussion and question and answer guided by the head of general and academic services at Iakn Toraja, Dr. The Gaelic Gaelic, S.M.A., M.Pd. Kakanwil, and Vice Rector. I discussed, answered, and received input from Papuan students and the academic community of Iakn Toraja related to lecture life and the KCP/Papua Bangga program.
 Also present in this activity are the head of administration of the regional office of the ministry of religion of Papua province, Drs. H. Syamsuddin, M.M.; head of Christian religious education of the regional office of the ministry of religion of Papua province, Yokbed Griapon, S.Sos., M.A.P.; head of Christian affairs, Tony D. The Saharan, S.Si., M.Pd.K.; and plt. head of Catholic guidance, Francis X. Lesomar, S.S., as well as the heads of offices and heads of administrative sub-divisions of the ministry of religious affairs from various districts and cities in Papua province.
 This monitoring and evaluation activity is expected to improve the quality of education and welfare of Papuan students outside their home regions and strengthen the synergy between the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Iakn Toraja, and other relevant stakeholders.
