The Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of Papua province in Jayapura recently carried out a very important activity. On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Rev. Klemens Taran, S.Ag., as head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Papua Province, opened and provided direction in the activity "Consultation/Coordination of Evaluation of Budget Realization in 2023 and Work Program in 2024." This activity was attended by a number of important officials, including the head of Christian Affairs, Tonny Denny Sahertian, S.Si., M.Pd.K., and the head of Christian Religious Education, Yokbed Griapon, S.Sos., M.AP. The activity, which took place at the Sasana Krida Bahkti Hall of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Papua Province, was organized by the Christian Religious Affairs and Christian Religious Education Division of the Ministry of Religion of Papua Province. This consultation and coordination is planned to last for 2 days, starting from March 26 to 27, 2024. In his direction, Kakanwil emphasized the importance of strengthening religious moderation as a priority program of the Ministry of Religion. He also reminded me that the absorption of the budget in the first semester has reached 70%, because if not, the budget for the following year may experience cuts. "The budget is limited, so please maximize," he said. During the activity, the daily executive decree of the head of the Asmat Religious Office was also handed over to the head of the Christian Affairs section of the Asmat Religious Office, Johana Ririhena, S.Th. In addition, the award certificate was also handed over to the Regency/City Mora work unit with the best budget performance value (NKA) in 2023. The activity continued with the presentation of work programs that have been implemented or have not been implemented in 2023, as well as work programs that will be implemented in 2024, by each section head. Also present at the event were the head of the legal and personnel team of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Papua province, Ruddy Rotty, A.Md., and the young expert Non-Governmental Organization of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Papua province, Joni Tande, S.Th., M.Si., as well as other participants who are the head of the Christian Affairs Section and the head of the Christian Education section in 29 districts and cities throughout Papua province.
