OPENING OF THE SECOND QUARTER EVALUATION MEETING OF GKI PORT NUMBAY CLASSIS BY CLASSIS CHAIRMAN REV. ANDRIE W. TJOE, M.TH

Jayapura, July 12, 2024 - The Chairman of GKI Port Numbay Classis, Rev. Andrie W. Tjoe, M.Th, officially opened the Second Quarter Evaluation Meeting of GKI Port Numbay Classis, held at the Service and Development Center of GKI Port Numbay Classis, Skyline Jayapura. The event was attended by the Classis Working Body (BPK), BPK members, the Church Treasury Supervision Body (BPPG), commissions, department heads, sub-department heads, sections, staff, security, kitchen staff, and cleaning service.

The working meeting aims to evaluate the implementation of programs and activities carried out from April to June 2024 and to plan programs and activities for the next three months. Some main agendas discussed in this meeting include:

  1. Program and Activity Evaluation: Discussing and assessing the programs and activities carried out to identify achievements and obstacles encountered.
  2. Employee Performance Improvement: Developing strategies to enhance employee performance to increase work efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Recognition from the Synod Chairman: Receiving praise from the Synod Chairman for the active social media presence of Port Numbay Classis, which increases visibility and engagement.
  4. Security Improvement Proposals: Proposing additional security from morning to evening to enhance the safety of the work environment.
  5. Commission Program Achievement Targets: Directing commissions with program and activity achievements below 50% to reach a target of 75% within the specified time.
  6. Collaboration with Relevant Partners: Building and strengthening cooperation with relevant partners to support the implementation of programs and activities.
  7. Future Program and Activity Planning: Developing plans for programs and activities for the next three months, ensuring all agendas run as planned.
  8. Work Calendar Creation: Creating a work calendar to prevent program and activity conflicts on the same dates, ensuring efficiency and good coordination.
  9. Program Reporting to Superiors: All activities must be reported to direct superiors, ensuring transparency and accountability in program implementation.
  10. TOR and Financial Report Preparation: Each activity must have a Terms of Reference (TOR) and be reported to the Finance Department to ensure appropriate financial support.
  11. Avoiding Urgent Requests: Avoiding urgent requests for hastily planned activities, ensuring better planning.
  12. Thanking the Documentation Team: Expressing gratitude to the documentation team for uploading activity documentation to social media, which can be followed by the Synod Chairman while in Jakarta for medical treatment.
  13. Maintaining Good Relationships Among Elements: Ensuring good and supportive relationships between the BPK, BPK members, BPPG, commissions, and staff.
  14. Joint Media Training: Conducting joint training with Cenderawasih Pos and TVRI to cover and create video documentation of activities.

In his remarks, Rev. Andrie W. Tjoe, M.Th - Chairman of GKI Port Numbay Classis, emphasized the importance of cooperation and commitment from all parties to achieve common goals. He hopes the results of this working meeting will positively impact the development of GKI Port Numbay Classis and the community it serves.
