Working Meeting: I PAM GKI KLASIS MANOKWARI-EMPOWERING ALL TALENTS TO SUPPORT THE CHURCH AND GOVERNMENT IN 2024

Manokwari, November 22, 2023 Bremi Bethel Church, North Manokwari District, Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province, witnessed the first working meeting of the Young Members Association (PAM) of GKI Klasis Manokwari. The event was attended by 304 official participants, consisting of 260 Pam server bodies from all over Klasis Manokwari and 44 Klasis Youth Working Group Managers from GKI Manokwari.

With the theme "The Love of Christ moves the independence of the Church, realising justice, peace, and prosperity," taken from II Corinthians 5:18–19 and Psalm 72:2–3, this working meeting aims to improve the fellowship, testimony, and service of Pam GKI Klasis Manokwari. GKI youths are expected to be agents of change who are able to face the times with high commitment. Su Tema, chairman of the working meeting I PAM GKI Klasis Manokwari, explained, "Through this working meeting, we try to present the love of Christ by increasing fellowship, testimony, and service.

We are committed to forming GKI youth who are able to face the times, working together as God's co-workers in their respective fields towards one goal." This working meeting is not only ceremonial but is expected to produce a plan of activities that can have a direct impact on GKI youth in Manokwari Classis and the entire land of Papua. 

Participants hope that the recommendations generated from this working meeting can be submitted to the Manokwari Regency government and the West Papua provincial government as a valuable contribution from GKI youth to support development and welfare in the Land of Papua. The next hope is that through the results of this working meeting, PAM GKI Klasis Manokwari can empower all existing talents, not only for the benefit of the church but also as an active partner for local governments in carrying out development and creating shared prosperity. Hopefully, this first working meeting will be the initial milestone for positive changes and real contributions from GKI Klasis Manokwari youth in 2024.
