The Directorate General of Christian Community Guidance (Ditjen Bimas Kristen) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs held a coordination meeting to finalize the linearity academic paper between religious Maples at the Millennium Hotel Sirih Jakarta on January 15–16, 2001.
This activity was officially opened by the Director General of Christian Community Guidance, Jeane Marie Tulung, accompanied by the Director of Christian Education, Sudirman Simanihuruk. The rectors, chairmen, and heads of bureaus and sections of seven state Christian religious universities (PTKKN) established by the Directorate General of Christian Guidance also attended.
The director general asked the rector, chairman, kabiro, and head of PTKKN to help teachers of non-Christian Religious Education (PAK) subjects (mapel) in schools assisted by the Directorate General of Christian Guidance to follow the teacher certification program. The Director General stated that this meeting is a finalization, which means there is progress and a process that has been done before to be completed.
To be recognized as a Rumpun PAK, Maple teachers who teach subjects such as biblical knowledge, Christian ethics, church and sacred history, dogmatics, hermeneutics, and missiology must complete an academic manuscript study.
These requirements will be fixed in the legislation. "I ask that we work together to see the results of the preparation of the non-PAK Maple academic manuscript, which has previously been prepared by experts or scientific experts appointed by the Directorate General of Christian Guidance in accordance with the applicable drafting systematics," said the director general.
"I hope we work quickly so that the quality of services at the Christian Religious Education Unit can be improved," said the director general. Under the direction of the Director General, Director PAK gave the participants the opportunity to provide input.

Aaron Y. Natonis, Rector of Iakn Kupang, gave support to the meeting participants, saying, "The most urgent need is that we must help non-PAK teacher friends to participate in certification in accordance with the subjects taught.
