THE MINISTRY OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS ACHIEVED ACHIEVEMENTS IN ITS PUBLIC INFORMATION DISCLOSURE EFFORTS IN 2023

Jakarta, December 19, 2023—the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia received a prestigious award from the Central Information Commission (KI), namely the 2023 Public Information Disclosure Award with the qualification "informative." This award is a recognition of the ministry's commitment to realising transparency and access to public information. Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Saiful Rahmat Dasuki, received the award at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on behalf of Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. "This is the first time the Ministry of Religious Affairs has been awarded with an informative qualification, a clear proof of the direction of the Minister of Religious Affairs, so that we become an open and informative ministry," said the Vice Minister of Religious Affairs. The award was presented by the chairman of the Central Information Commission, Donny Yoesgiantoro, and witnessed by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, KH Ma'ruf Amin. This award is given based on the evaluation carried out by the Central Information Commission throughout 2023. According to the Vice Minister of Religion, the qualification of "informative" is the highest level in the gift of information disclosure. In accordance with Information Commission Regulation No. 5 of 2016, there are five qualifications in the ranking of information disclosure by public bodies, where "informative" (97–100) is the highest ranking. “We are very proud and honoured that the Ministry of Religious Affairs is considered to have met the qualifications of an informative body by the KIP,” said the Vice Minister of eligion. One of the efforts made by the Ministry of Religious Affairs to improve information disclosure is through digital transformation. "We are focused on developing one Superapps Ministry of Religious Affairs and Heritage Data, which facilitates public access to information services at the Ministry of Religious Affairs,” explained the Vice Minister of Religion. The results of monitoring by KIP showed a significant increase in public information disclosure by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This reflects the ministry's ongoing efforts to be more open and informative in managing public information, in line with the mandate given by Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.
