DIRECTOR GENERAL OF CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY GUIDANCE: "THE 14TH NATIONAL PESPARAWI IN MANOKWARI MUST BE BETTER THAN BEFORE"

The Director General hopes that the Pesparawi event will not cause any issues. The Director General believes that with sufficient time, preparations can be maximized to support the success of Pesparawi in Papua.

The Director General also stated that they highly anticipate the assistance from the Regent of Manokwari as the host.

The Director General requested the National Pesparawi Development Board (LPPN) to provide a report on the steps taken to prepare for the event at the meeting. “I, the Regent, and all of us want to hear about the preparations made by LPPN, so that when issues arise, we can find solutions together,” said the Director General.

The Director General expressed gratitude for the positive response from the Regent and members of the Manokwari Regency Government. Hopefully, the National Pesparawi in Manokwari will make people proud and astonished, leaving a lasting impression.

Before the visit of the Director General of Christian Community Guidance, the Regent stated, "This is an extraordinary visit to establish Manokwari as the host of the National Pesparawi."

The Regent also stated that hosting the National Pesparawi in Papua holds strategic significance. “Pesparawi is the nation's appreciation for the people of Papua,” he said.

The Regent noted that this event will drive growth in various sectors in Manokwari Regency.

“Allow us to express our gratitude to the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Director General of Christian Community Guidance, and the National Pesparawi Development Board (LPPN) for trusting Manokwari Regency in West Papua Province to host the 14th National Pesparawi in 2025."

They assured that adequate accommodation would be available for all participants.

"Several parties have already responded to build hotels in Manokwari. Additionally, we will maximize the use of existing government and religious facilities,” he explained.

The Regent stated that the local government is currently preparing supporting facilities at Rendani Airport to welcome participants.

"We in Manokwari are also preparing a local committee to collaborate with the Provincial Committee of West Papua and the Central Committee regarding the organization of the event,” explained the Regent.

Moreover, he hopes that this Pesparawi will run safely and peacefully, leaving a good legacy for the people of Papua. For us, this is also an opportunity to drive economic growth in Papua and a strategy for accelerating development in Papua.

The Regent stated that the Regional Budget (APBD) has been prepared for the organization of this National Pesparawi.

We, the people of Manokwari, pray that God will bless the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Director General of Christian Community Guidance, and the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Regional Office of West Papua as they carry out their duties as civil servants. He concluded, "Your visit will motivate us to successfully conduct the Pesparawi in Papua."

Following the welcoming remarks, a technical meeting was held in the regent's meeting room, led by the Director General and the Regent. The meeting was attended by Luksen Jems Mayor, Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Regional Office of Papua, LPPN, LPPD, and local committee members to ensure concrete steps for further preparations.

After the activities at the Regent's Office, the Director General and his entourage proceeded to the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Papua Province, where they were welcomed by the Head of the Regional Office. They then visited the LPPD office of West Papua, which will serve as the Secretariat for the National Pesparawi.
