Ministry of Religious Affairs November 10, 2023 0 1 Add to the reading list."Good cooperation: representatives of 15 churches in Jayapura signed a working agreement for the use of aid funds." Jayapura, November 10, 2023 In the handing over of Church Aid for fiscal year 2023 in Jayapura, the director of Christian Affairs, Rev. Dr. Proverbs Yowei, SE, M.Pd.K., stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in carrying out tasks related to receiving assistance. This event also created momentum for the signing of labour agreements between the parties involved. In his speech, Director Proverbs Yowei explained that every task, no matter how small, must be done transparently and must be made public. He highlighted the importance of accountability as a recipient of aid, not just in terms of the amount of aid received. And this assistance is given to all provinces in Indonesia, one of which is the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Papua Province. "The request sent to the Director General of Guidance of the Christian Community will be answered. However, once answered, the responsibility as a recipient of assistance needs to be upheld. Let us run with good and responsible cooperation in managing the funds that have been given," he said. The event was attended by a number of important figures, including the Kakanwil Ministry of Religious Affairs of Papua Province, Rev. Klemens Taran, S. Ag, and the head of Christian Affairs, Rev. Tony Denny Sahertian, S.Si, M.Pd.K. Also present were representatives from 15 recipient churches, such as the Bethel Papua Church, the Sanctuary Christ Kingdom Centre Church, and the Indonesian Pentecostal Union Imanuel Church. On that occasion, church representatives who attended agreed to sign a work agreement as a form of commitment to managing the assistance they received. This shows the seriousness of the beneficiaries in carrying out their duties properly. Rev. Tonny Denny Sahertian added, "Accountability is not only an obligation but also a reflection of our integrity in serving the community. All parties need to work together to ensure that the assistance provided is beneficial and targeted." With the spirit of good cooperation and determination to take responsibility, it is hoped that the assistance channelled to the churches in Jayapura can have a positive impact and help the community strengthen their spiritual lives.
