SPIRITUAL TOUR OF PW GKI BUKIT ZAITUN MOKO (BZM) TO GKI KRETA AUKI PADAIDO, BIAK

On Tuesday, March 11, 2024, a contingent of 37 members from PW GKI Bukit Zaitun Moko (BZM) arrived at Biak port at 3:00 PM as part of their Spiritual Tour. The group was warmly welcomed by the local congregation.

In her speech, the tour committee chairperson of PW BZM, Mrs. Mauren Sawaki, accompanied by the Chairperson of PW BZM, Mrs. Eva Wawiyai Kalasin, expressed her hope that the fellowship between PW BZM and PW GKI Kreta Auki would be maintained in a spirit of mutual prayer. “We hope this fellowship will grow stronger and continue to be united through our prayers,” said Mrs. Mauren Sawaki.

Additionally, the envoys of Christ were accompanied by the Chairperson of the Congregational Council, Rev. Kosmos Mandowen, S.Th. Upon their arrival at the Biak dock, they were directly greeted by the Chairperson of GKI Kreta Auki, Rev. Jhon Rumkorem, S.Teol, with a captivating and warm traditional dance welcome.

This visit was a reciprocal visit after PW GKI Bukit Zaitun Moko received a visit from PW GKI Kreta Auki in 2023. This activity not only strengthened the bonds of brotherhood between the congregations but also enriched the spiritual experience of each member.

The event was lively with various prepared spiritual activities. The BZM contingent had the opportunity to participate in joint worship services, spiritual discussions, and various cultural activities showcasing the beauty of Biak's cultural diversity.

It is hoped that through this meeting, the spirit of togetherness and service between congregations will be strengthened, making the fellowship blessed by God more beautiful and meaningful. Great hopes are pinned on the continuous development of these relationships, bringing positive impacts on the growth of faith and service of each congregation.
