YAYASAN BENGKEL KERJA PAPUA LAUNCHES COMPUTER TRAINING PROGRAM IN DOGIYAI

Yayasan BENGKEL KERJA PAPUA (BKP) officially started a series of free computer training activities at GKI Koinonia Church, Moanemani, Dogiyai regency, Central Mountains of Papua. This activity was presented as part of the local community empowerment efforts and carried out in collaboration with the Dogiyai Regency Police. The training began with the arrival of the training team, which had made a long journey from Waropen through Serui and Biak and finally reached Nabire. The BKP team was picked up at Samabusa Port, Nabire, on Friday, April 12, 2024, by the Dogiyai regional police and taken to Moanemani, a journey that covers a distance of about 200 kilometres from the Nabire coast to the central mountains of Papua. Moanemani police chief Hans Raubaba, who was also the initiator of the training, said, “ThThis is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to building Papuan human resources. We not only talk about concepts but also show real actions through trainings like this.” Mrs. Rev. Soumoki, chairman of the GKI Koinonia congregation assembly, added, “WeWe are very grateful for the initiative and support from the Papua Workshop Foundation and the Dogiyai Regional Police. This training means a lot to our citizens, especially in developing expertise in the field of information technology that is so needed today.” This free computer training is expected to help people in Moanemani and surrounding areas gain skills relevant to the demands of the modern job market, as well as open up more economic opportunities in the future.
