Dozens of Christian homes and Catholic schools were destroyed in the Gaza airstrike.

More than 50 Christian homes and a Catholic school were badly damaged in the air strikes. One of those affected is the Sisters of the Rosary School, which serves 1,250 students from various religious backgrounds, including poor communities. The school's principal, Sister Nabila Saleh, expressed her "heartbreak "at the school's destruction, explaining that" everything is destroyed" and describing the situation as very sad. Although the school had been evacuated at the beginning of the conflict, the sister was grateful that there were no casualties in the airstrikes. In an interview with the Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), sister Nabila Saleh expressed her despair that an aid project that had been approved for the school could no longer proceed. The nuns, who decided to remain in their quarters rather than evacuate, are committed to continuing to care for those in need, including many Christians who seek refuge in places such as the Church of the Holy Family and the Orthodox Church of St. Porphyrius, although supplies are very limited. More than 750 Christian refugees, including 100 children and 70 people with special needs, are being cared for by nuns. However, the situation is getting worse with the fighting getting closer and humanity being threatened. A source who could not be named for security reasons revealed, "Without a humanitarian ceasefire, there will be no evacuation because people are very scared—they are hearing about bombings in other areas of the Gaza Strip. Hunger, lack of water, and shelter are also worsening in these areas." According to the Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, 19 places of worship, including mosques and churches, have been targeted during the first three weeks of the conflict. In a statement, the Patriarchate hoped that peace, justice, and an end to suffering would soon reach Gaza. One of the other significant losses was the destruction of the Orthodox Cultural Centre, which was built after 12 years of hard struggle. ACN Partners stated that the centre suffered complete damage from air strikes. This situation further worsens the condition of Christians in Gaza and highlights the urgency of humanitarian protection in the region.
