GENERAL THEME OF GKI 2024 EMPOWERMENT

This devotional invites us to reflect on the role of man as a worker in the context of Christian belief, based on Genesis 4:1–16.

The main theme is "the empowerment of man as a worker," which underlines some important points:

1. Man as God's creation : in the context of this belief, man is seen as God's creation. It      emphasizes that man's existence and abilities come from God.

2. Man as a partner of God : man is not only a creation but also a partner of God in maintaining creation. It implies the responsibility to take care of and preserve the environment and the surrounding nature.

3. The commandment to continue life : man is given the responsibility to continue his offspring and maintain the world through hard work. This reflects the importance of sustainability and preservation for future generations.

4. Work as a form of obedience and offering : in Christian belief, work is seen as a form of worship and offering to God. This shows that any work, no matter how simple or complex, has a spiritual value.

5. Work as worship : this concept integrates spirituality in every aspect of work, from planning to execution to evaluation. It invites us to involve God in every step of our work, summarizing the concept of "prayer and work."

This devotional offers the perspective that work is not only a worldly activity but also a spiritual one. It teaches that working with a sincere heart and dedication is a form of praise and offering to God. In addition, by involving God in every aspect of our work, we are reminded to always uphold the values of ethics, integrity, and responsibility.
