WEBINAR ON THEOLOGY AND AI: SYSTEMATIC AND DENOMINATIONAL PERSPECTIVES
On October 1, the webinar titled "Theology & Artificial Intelligence: Systematic and Denominational Perspectives" will explore how generative artificial intelligence and trans-humanism challenge our understanding of personhood and the image of God. The webinar will examine the impact of these technologies on theological teachings about the incarnation and the trinity.
Co-hosted by the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Canadian Council of Churches (CCC), this event is the second in a series of discussions on the intersection of faith and life sciences regarding artificial intelligence. As global interest and concern surrounding AI continue to grow, theologians are striving to understand how these technologies influence religious beliefs and doctrines.
Bishop Dr. Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, the moderator of WCC, will be one of the key speakers, representing an ecumenical perspective in the discussion. Participants are invited to engage in an in-depth dialogue on the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence within the context of modern theology.
This webinar presents an important opportunity to explore the relationship between faith, technology, and the future of spirituality in an increasingly digital world.
