PASTOR'S WIFE SERIOUSLY INJURED IN SHOOTING ATTACK; REQUIRES MEDICAL CARE

Memphis, Tennessee Gwendoline Livingston, the wife of Pastor Clemmie Livingston Jr. of Zionfield Baptist Church, who was a victim of a brutal shooting at their church last Sunday, has revealed that her injuries are far more serious than people realize, and she is now struggling to get the medical care she needs.
In a GoFundMe campaign launched on Thursday, Gwendoline revealed that although her husband is in stable condition in the ICU, he requires several additional surgeries to repair the damage from the severe injuries he sustained.
"After undergoing surgery, he was upgraded to stable and is still in the ICU. However, my husband will need to wait for at least two more surgeries around 6 weeks from now, and then phase 3 and possibly more depending on the healing outcome," she wrote.
According to Mrs. Livingston's account, doctors had to perform a painful tracheotomy due to the gunshot wound, leaving her husband unable to eat or drink.
"At the moment, he cannot eat or speak and communicates with us through notes and hand gestures. Surgeons have drilled... screws and placed clamps on the right side of his face to try and hold his jaw closed as the bullet shattered his jawbone into many gravel-sized pieces," she revealed.
In an interview with Fox 13, Gwendoline expressed regret over the attack on her husband, calling it something that "will never be the same."
"My husband is not the same and will never be the same. It's not just a gunshot wound. It's more serious than people know," she said.
The Memphis Police Department noted that Pastor Livingston was shot as he exited his church on Sunday morning when the suspects were stealing a car. While the police have yet to find any suspects or the stolen vehicle, Gwendoline emphasized that her husband was not involved in any confrontation with the perpetrators.
"He never spoke to anyone. He never went to anyone. He didn't try to stop anything. He didn't deserve it. He didn't confront anyone," Gwendoline stated.
Now, the Livingston family hopes to garner support from the community to help fund the much-needed medical care for Pastor Livingston in his lengthy recovery process.
