Keerom, December 8, 2023 Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of Papua Province, Rev. Klemens Taran, S.Ag., conducted monitoring and evaluation (Monev) of the feasibility study on Friday, December 8, 2023, for the establishment of YPK Ebenhaezer Senggi SMAK in Keerom Regency. Kakanwil was accompanied by the head of Christian Religious Education, Yokbed Griapon, S.Sos., MAP, and the head of the Mora office in Keerom Regency, Yohanes Nahak, S.Ag., MM. SMAK. YPK Ebenhaezer Senggi became one of the schools included in the 10.10 program of the Directorate General of Christian Community Guidance (Ditjen Bimas Kristen), thus becoming a priority program. The team from the Ortala Sub-Division of the Directorate General of Christian Guidance of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, consisting of Maron Mbrobuki Koibur as a compiler of norms, standards, procedures, and criteria; Veranita as an organizational and governance analyst; and Joanne Amanda Sumbung, went down directly to see the condition of the school and readiness in the process of confirmation. When arriving at the school site, Kakanwil and his entourage were greeted by the chairman of the GKI Senggi Classis, Rev. Augustine Yew Wasanggai, S.SI., Theo, head of the Christian Education Foundation in Keerom Regency, Karel F. Mambay, treasurer of PSW YPK Keerom Regency, Frliks Rumfandu, and Ondoafi Senggi Ismail Naak with the traditional noken pengalungan ceremony. On that occasion, the Papua Provincial National Land Agency team measured the school's land area of 5 hectares, which had previously been pegged. Today, most of the land is still forest, which is slowly being cut down. The measurement results will be processed immediately for the issuance of land certificates. At the location, Kakanwil appreciated the performance of the Christian religious education sector, which actively followed up on the process of smak penegerian Ebenhaezer Senggi. "So far, I have received reports from friends in the field of Christian education from the Regional Office regarding the progress of penegerian, which we should appreciate together. This time, I went down directly to see the real conditions at the location. Here is also a team from the Directorate General of Christian Guidance that we hope together can help accelerate the process of confirmation," he explained. From the results of direct observation, team leader Subbag Ortala Bimas Kristen, Maron, said that the location of the school is very good. He hoped that the Papua Ministry of Religious Affairs team would immediately complete all administrative documents to speed up the confirmation process. "After we went down directly, the location of the school was very good. The initial documents that we have received from PAK Kememag Papua are also appropriate. We are currently waiting for a land certificate that must be on behalf of the Ministry of Religious Affairs; this document is the most important in the process of confirmation," he said. Ondoafi Senggi hopes that the land given will soon be given and a decent school can be built for Senggi children. "I hope this land will soon be built into a decent school for our children," he hoped.
