The Ministry of Religion held the Devotion Experience (Dev-X) for the first time. This activity, which will take place at Hall B Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) from January 5-7, 2024, is packed with pop culture and digital elements in an effort to bring young people closer to the world of religion. 

"Our target in this event is indeed young people, so we deliberately pack with shades of pop culture." In Jakarta, on Friday (5/1/2023), Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas stated, "We want to facilitate young people getting closer to religion." "We are preparing to welcome Indonesian gold in 2045," said the minister of religion. 

Minister Yaqut stated that the current leaders of Indonesia are young people. The minister stated that it is important for future leaders to instill positive values in their religious lives. "That's why facilitating young people to get closer to religion is what we need to do," he said. "Religious life is not just a ritual of worship, you know, so later in Dev-X, young people can see and even feel that experience." 

During Dev-X, many activities are held, including mass nikah, discourse on zakat and waqf, hajj, and halal certification. In addition, there are demonstrations and discussions of scriptures written in braille or sign language. Visitors can also try religious tourism by using virtual reality (VR), for example, to watch the launch of digital pegon letters. Gus Men, who is the familiar name of Menag Yaqut, said, "If you have a problem related to religion, you can also find a solution in Dev-X." 

At the booth of Ditjen Bimas Hindu, visitors can also learn to read Sloka or write old Javanese. At the booth of the Directorate General of Buddhist Guidance, there was also a screening of the film Unearthing Muarajambi, and they could also try to explore Borobudur Temple with VR 360. Visitors can also enjoy music and see halal product exhibitions. 

According to Ahmad Zainul Hamdi, Chief Executive of Dev-X, the event is free for everyone. "Please register through PUSAKA, and please come to JCC. In addition to the exhibition of work unit performances, visitors can also watch the exhibition of halal products, artist performances, and famous figures," said the man, who is also the director of Islamic Higher Education at the Ministry of Religion.
