Jayapura, February 28, 2024 The Acting Regent of Jayapura, Triwarno Purnomo, S.STP., M.Si., together with a number of officials and community leaders attended the Thanksgiving service to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Indonesian Christian Women's Association (PWKI). The event took place at the Bethel Ellim Church Nendali congregation, Kampung Harapan, East Sentani District, Jayapura regency, Papua, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Also present at the event was the chairman of the DPD Indonesian Christian Women's Association of Papua Province, Ibu. Dorince Mehue, SE, Chairman of the DPD PWKI Papua Province. Dorlince Mehue, Chairman of the DPC PWKI Jayapura regency, Marice Suangburaro, Head of the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Dpppa) Jayapura regency, Miryam Soumilena, head of the Jayapura regency environment office (DLH), Abdul Rahman Basri, head of East Sentani District Eslie Suangburaro, representative of the Jayapura Police, representative of the Jayapura city PWKI DPC board, as well as all administrators and members of the Jayapura regency PWKI. Triwarno Purnomo, in his speech, expressed his appreciation to the entire board and members of Pwki Jayapura regency for their dedication to providing services to the community. "Today I am with the head of the DPPPA, also the head of the Environment Office, and there is the head of the East Sentani district. We attend the invitation to Thanksgiving and, at the same time, the celebration of the 78th anniversary of the Indonesian Christian Women's Association (PWKI)," said Triwarno. Furthermore, Triwarno expressed his hope that PWKI will progress and have a positive impact on the community. "We hope that with the age of 78 this year, PWKI will be more useful and have a positive impact, and the stronger its commitment to strengthening togetherness, as well as the spirit of unity and unity of the nation," he said. Triwarno also emphasised the readiness of the local government to cooperate with PWKI in developing Jayapura regency. "The local government is ready to work together in terms of socialising and playing an active role in the regional development of Jayapura regency," he said. On the same occasion, Triwarno invited PWKI members to educate children to be the next generation of quality. "We know technology is getting more sophisticated; let's limit children's access to positive content. Let us also educate children to be the next generation for the development of Jayapura regency," he said. The celebration of the 78th anniversary of PWKI is a momentum for local governments and community organisations to increase cooperation for mutual prosperity.
