GKI Aimando Padaido Classic Working Meeting: Towards Independence and a Mature Church Mission

On Sunday, November 12, 2022, the working meeting committee (Raker) of the GKI class Aimando Padaido held a preparatory meeting to hold a working meeting, which will be held on November 17–18, 2023. The meeting was chaired by the chairman of BPK Penehas Wader, SH., with the presence of the committee board consisting of Waket, Secretary, Wasek, and Treasurer, namely BPK. Esau.Weyai, SDR. David Polnaya, S.Si, M.Mis., CPC. Steven Yarangga, and BPK. Semuel. Lempe, S.Pd.

The GKI Aimando Padaido class meeting will be held at the GKI FYs Rumainum Samberpasi congregation. The big theme is "the love of Christ moves the independence of the church to realise justice, peace, and prosperity," based on verses 2 Corinthians 5:18–19 and Psalm 72:2–3. The sub-theme is "through the working meeting, II Klasis GKI Aimando Padaido organised themselves towards a mature, independent, and missionary church."

The classical motto of GKI Aimando Padaido, "Kobenadi, Kofrar, Kofararrurr," describes the spirit of unity and struggle in building a mature and missionary church. Participants in the meeting consisted of 9 BPK, 1 BPS, and 14 congregations, as well as invited guests from the Regent, regional secretary, SKPD, Forkompinda, police chief, Dandim, DPR, PLN, and bank Papua.

The committee has made 75% preparations, leaving only a few things, such as procurement of consumption, decoration, and technical equipment, on the day of implementation. The short preparation time, about 2-3 months, did not diminish the spirit of the organisers, who were willing to try without material capital, only with prayer, faith, and help from a generous community.

The committee hopes that this classic meeting will be an important momentum in strengthening the foundation of the church towards independence, maturity, and a stronger mission in the midst of society. All the preparation and hard work of the committee are expected to create an atmosphere that supports the realisation of the vision and mission of the church.
