PKK Papua plays an active role in controlling inflation in Bumi Cenderawasih.

JAYAPURA: The PKK Papua mobilisation team is ready to launch a chilli planting programme as a strategic step to control inflation in the Cenderawasih Earth region. Each house is expected to participate by planting a minimum of five chilli trees. Acting Chairman of the Papua PKK TP, Linda Onibala, said that the chilli planting movement will begin in January 2024. This programme will be one of the main focuses of TP PKK Papua, along with the ten main programmes of the family empowerment nization. Linda Onibala stated, "We will get support from the provincial Agriculture Office for the provision of seeds, as well as the support of the Regency and City PKK to ensure the success of this inflation control programme throughout the Regency and city." He believes that involving the community in chilli planting will not only help control inflation but also improve food security and the welfare of local communities. In addition, PKK Papua is also active in stunting prevention programs. Linda Onibala explained that 2,700 clean and healthy behaviour packages (PHBS) have been distributed in nine districts and cities in Papua. The package involved hundreds of baby scales, stampedes, and food packages for widows, the elderly, and orphans. Linda emphasised that this programmeme will continue in 2024, in line with the PKK's dasawisma ram. "However, in January 2024, we will first evaluate this year's stunting handling program. We will assess the achievements of the PKK Papua stunting acceleration programme in various regions," he added.
