Ministry of Religious Affairs '2024 DIPA submission:" accelerating inclusive and sustainable economic transformation”

Jakarta (DBK) The Minister of Religious Affairs, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, submitted a list of budget implementations (DIPA) to the Director General of Christian Guidance, Jeane Marie Tulung, and 11 leaders of Echelon I units within the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The event took place on Tuesday (May 12) in Jakarta. At the event, a performance agreement was signed by the leaders of the Echelon I unit of the Ministry of Religion Center. The Minister of Religious Affairs, familiarly called Gus Men, reminded us that the budget given is the property of the people, and its use must be fully oriented to the interests of the people. Gus Men emphasised the importance of implementing DIPA 2024 with discipline, on-targetness, transparency, and accountability to prevent misappropriation and corrupt actions. He hopes that there will be no news of budget abuse in the Ministry of Religion, considering that the Ministry of Religion is the only ministry that bears the name of religion, with a heavy burden of accountability for religious values. "The nature of corruption and deviation absolutely does not reflect the value of religion," said Gus Men.

The minister of religion gave appreciation to all work units that have worked hard and intelligently, even getting recognition outside the ministry of religion. He expressed his gratitude for the extraordinary dedication and hopes that this achievement can be maintained. "The award is a proof of how your work is appreciated by the public; this is extraordinary. Currently, Mora is taken into account. Thank you for your incredible dedication; hopefully this can be maintained," he said. Gus Men also invites us to focus on priority and legacy programmes in 2024, with good planning in the budget. He emphasised not to revise the budget too much because it can reflect unpreparedness in planning. In closing, Gus Men reminded us that the absorption of the activity budget has been carried out since January, so there are no activities that accumulate at the end of the year. He hopes that the implementation of DIPA can be completed before the end of the third quarter. According to a report by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Religion, Nizar Ali, the state budget (APBN) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs for fiscal year 2024 reached Rp74 trillion. There was an increase of 2.6%, or around Rp1.6 trillion, compared to the previous year. In detail, Rp62.3 trillion is for educational programmes and Rp11.7 trillion for religious ograms. The 2024 Ministry of Religion DIPA handover event was also attended by the chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR, Ashabul Kahfi, special staff, and expert staff of the Ministry of Religious Affairs
