The program aims to provide urgent mental health care to children and school employees affected by traumatic events that occurred in the region around Gaza.

To kick off the "Brothers at Heart" Project, The Israel Venture Network (IVN) has announced a collaboration with Alu motOr and the Center for Jewish Impact.

This important program prepares to provide urgent mental health care to children and school employees affected by traumatic events in the region around Gaza.

The project, designed by the Rural Education Administration and boarding school, is a reaction to the mental health crisis caused by the fierce fighting that took place on October 7, which IVN CEO Avi Ganon called "the greatest mental health event in our history."

Although the full impact of this event is still unknown, its immediate and long-term impact on the mental well-being of people working in the education system is undeniable.

The famous psychologist Yoel Ifrach, an expert in educational psychology, emphasizes the importance of the project. Despite early intervention, many children and educators need continuous support to process their trauma and avoid serious psychological damage.

The project aims to increase the availability of psychological services in the short term, according to IVN.

Robert Singer, Chairman of the Center for Jewish Impact and an Alumot, is passionate about the collaboration and emphasizes the importance of providing immediate emotional support to students and school employees. Programs like this are critical in establishing a baseline of normality and recovery.

Brothers at Heart's goal is to improve psychosocial teams in 22 selected boarding schools and schools. This will include the provision of licensed social workers, therapists, and psychologists for individual and group emotional therapy tailored to emergencies.

In addition, their objective is to provide professional training and emotional care to therapeutic and educational teams, providing them with essential equipment for the treatment of trauma.

A donation of NIS 1.7 million will be made to the project, which will benefit educational institutions in the southern regions directly.

With the intention of reducing social and economic disparities in Israel, Israeli and American entrepreneurs and technology investors founded IVN in 2001. Over the years, IVN has helped education systems in various cities and built initiatives such as the "Avne Rosha" institute, providing valuable experience and expertise for this project.

The Alumot, or social organization, is committed to enhancing exceptional education through the development and implementation of innovative programs. The Jewish Impact Center connects the diaspora with Israeli civil society and acts as an international diplomat.
