In a recent social media video, comedian and podcast host Russell Brand said he considers Christianity and Jesus Christ increasingly important as he gets older and wants a "personal relationship with God.".

In a video taken on Saturday, Brand said, "The reason I wear the cross is because Christianity and, in particular, the figure of Christ, I think, wants to not want to be more important as I become more familiar with suffering, purpose, self, and not self."

The 48-year-old actor stated that he had "read more of the Bible" and Rick Warren's The Purpose-Driven Life, saying that when he was growing up, he thought Christianity was either "very irrelevant, old-fashioned, and a bit dusty" or too modern. He said at first that both routes did not interest him.

He said that after reaching "a certain maturity," things have changed. He now "comes to realize that you and I need a personal relationship with God."

I thought that if I only spoke to myself in my heart, I could replace that voice with a silent God. He makes a clear reference to Galatians 2:20, saying, "It says in Galatians that we must die, so that when Christ died on the cross, he could be born again in us."

Customer X gave the video brand support and encouragement; many of them said they wished it.

In response to Brand, pastor Greg Laurie posted a long letter addressed to Brand, in which he explained that Christians once put him off until he heard the gospel.

Laurie wrote in part, "The word" gospel "means" good news"" because we are all sinners and have broken God's commandments and failed to live up to his standards. But the good news is that God loves us so much that he sent his only begotten Son to die on the cross for our sins and then rise from the dead." Russell, Jesus is alive and ready to come into your life!

Seth Dillon, CEO of Babylon Bee, stated, "If he's not already a Christian, he might get there soon." It is not a matter of whether Christianity is useful or not, but whether it is true.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent presidential candidate, responded to Brand's video with a brief remark, "brilliant!"

In recent months, Brand has revealed that, because he is facing sexual harassment allegations, he is on a religious journey that will lead him to Christianity.

She disclosed in December that she was reading a 1940 book by C. S. Lewis titled The Bible and the Problem of Pain, which discussed how suffering functions in the Christian faith.

In September, The Times of London and Channel 4 jointly conducted an investigation into allegations that Brand had sexually assaulted four women between 2006 and 2013, at the height of his film career.

The Sunday Times later wrote that Brand assaulted a 16-year-old girl in an allegedly "emotionally and sexually abusive" relationshipAnother woman told The Times that Brand raped her at his Los Angeles home in 2012, although she did not file a police report.

Brand has denied "very serious criminal charges "and stated that, although he was" very, very promiscuous "before, all his sexual relationships were always consensual.".

"Like many desperate people, I needed spirituality," Brand said during an interview last year with Tucker Carlson. I have to believe in others. I need God, or I can't handle it in this world.

She admitted that she "first fell into glitter, and I'm just pulling myself together now" and that she "didn't have enough self-discipline to resist the allure of fame."

In an interview with Relevant Magazine in 2018, Brand stated that he was of the opinion that "the teachings of Christ are now more relevant than ever."
