Before the release of his new album "J Christ" on Friday, Lil Nas X went viral by teasing his fans through various online activities. He made a video in which he dressed as Jesus and drank shot, as well as claiming himself ostracized by the music industry. This led to criticism of his use of religious imagery, while others argued that he only created this controversy to attract attention.

Key fact: in December, Lil Nas X started talking about the "Christian era." He is best known for hits such as "Old Town Road" and "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)."

The Rapper promoted "J Christ" by portraying himself as Jesus on the cross and uploading a video on TikTok in which he dresses up as Jesus while drinking red wine and eating a host.

He pretended he was going to Liberty University to study the Bible and attacked his label and the music industry, vowing to boycott them for allegedly boycotting him.

Lil Nas X stated that "not everything is a joke," despite being accused of creating controversy.

Key criticisms: controversial figures such as Andrew Tate and Kai Cenat criticized his treatment of Christians; Tate called it "bizarre," and Cenat said that God would "take care of it.".

According to Daily Wire commentator Brett Cooper, he "made a joke" about Kristen.

Many people who use TikTok have criticized her, some of whom say they pray for her or ask her to renounce religious values.

Critics who opposed Lil Nas X, such as Candace Owens, stated that she used this controversy as a marketing strategy.

A video from TikTok, which has been viewed more than 300,000 times, questions her shift in perspective to Christianity after the aesthetic of her previous music videos espousing Satanic religions.

Very important

His marketing methods generated tens of thousands of likes for various posts and parodies on social media.

Lil Nas X's main background had previously caused religious controversy with his video "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" and the release of his album with MSCHF "Satan Shoes," which had a pentagram design and drops of human blood.

"My new single is dedicated to the man who had the greatest comeback of all time! said Lil Nas X, referring to the title of his new album, "J. Christ."
