DAILY DEVOTIONAL REVELATION 2:26

By George Bowen,

Revelation 2:26 says, "And he that overcometh and keepeth my works to the end, unto him will I give power over the nations."

Revelation 2:26 says, "And he that overcometh and keepeth my works to the end, unto him will I give power over the nations."

President Edwards said, "I am determined to live and fight as I would if I knew that only one person of this generation would be saved, and I am fully determined to be that person."

"Don't you know that those who run in the race run everything, but one receives the prize?" It seems to be the same spirit that Paul breathed. So run to get that. Therefore, I fled, as did my opponent. The Bible has an interesting principle of competition but none of the selfishness generated by its wonderful promises. Christians believe that their gain, far from being the loss of others, will also be their own gain. They also believe that the greater the profit, the more his path will be filled with blessings for others. He is called upon to overcome himself; he must wage war with this hydra-headed monster, a protean foe who is no sooner defeated than reappears. The promises of God are all they need so that the soldiers of Christ can have the most powerful incitement and encouragement as they challenge this dispute.

The award that animates the conquering Christian to make new conquests, just as our Lord himself brings to life, that is, the power to bless a world condemned by sin, Every servant of Christ below must have a strong desire to glorify Christ in the salvation of man in order to achieve the highest attainment. We have a spirit like Christ. We must be filled with the desire for truth, not only because we are tired of our own unrighteousness but also because we think about the unrighteousness of others. We must have a strong and constant desire to do our best (Christ is the best in us) to repair a broken world.

Even some Christians who go far in the divine life make two mistakes. One is that, although they are eager to bring others to Christ, they do not have the opportunity to gain a more thorough and higher experience of the work of sanctification for themselves. They show Christ's love in many ways and receive appreciation for it, but they ignore the deeper aspects of Christ's love. Does not mean that most of its use will be eliminated due to the study of these things. The opposite will happen.

Unwillingness to develop an inner life is the second mistake. They crave holiness individually. They described themselves as a garden fed with water, and when all the plants were fruitful and beautiful, they proposed to open the gates so that others could enter and share their treasures. However, they almost forget about the world without it. Under the influence of a dangerous kind of spiritual selfishness, they are in danger. Look at the most unbroken relationship with God and the most unrestrained relationship with man in the Lord Jesus. He is holy, harmless, undefiled, and separate from sinners, but he will also do good. Being like him is the best gift. To be useful as he is, we try to be holy as he is holy.
